The symbols used in Duel in the Deep include Ace, Blue Swordfish, Green Swordfish, Jack, King, King and Queen Fish, Nine, Oyster Shell, Purple Sumo Fish, Queen, Red Sumo Fish, Shipwreck, Ten, and a Treasure Chest. The wild symbols are the red and purple sumo fish, along with the green and blue swordfish, better known as the Fighting Fish wilds. The shipwreck is the scatter symbol. The Fighting Fish wilds only appear on reels 1 and 5 and substitute for all other symbols except for the sumo and scatters. The Sumo fish double any win they are part of. Multipliers start at 2.

The fighting fish feature is activated when corresponding wilds appear on reels 1 and 5. Here, you must select a fighter fish to fight on your behalf.
